About us
Some churches pride themselves to be the only true church of Jesus Christ. We do not hold to such an unbiblical notion. Although we recognized that there are many false and apostate churches, yet there are also many true local churches of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one universal church, yet this consist of all true local churches which Christ purchased with His own blood (Acts 20:28).
The Sovereign Grace Bible Church of Cebu is an autonomous
church ruled by the risen Christ and the Holy Spirit through
the apostolic teachings preserved for us completely in the Bible.
However, we seek to be in fellowship with all true local
churches. Moreover, as far as a good conscience permits, we
also seek to engage in some cooperative efforts with other
true local churches.
As a local church, our task is to fulfill what Christ has
commissioned the church to do in the ability He promised to
supply. This includes:
- The worship of God;
- The preservation and propagation of God's Word;
- The nurture of God's people;
- The work of benevolence amongst God's people;
- The discipline of the unruly amongst God's people;
- The observance of the covenantal signs
-
Baptism & the Lord's Supper; and
- Prayer.
When the church gathers for worship, we come into the very special presence of God to do what He commands us in His Word to do in worship. Therefore, we seek to avoid a "party atmosphere" in worship but seek to promote a climate of joyful reverence throught the enabling of the Holy Spirit.
As New Covenant priest and priestesses, and on the basis of Christ's all-sufficient sacrifice for all the sins of all His people in Calvary, we bring to God the spiritual sacrifices He commands us to bring through Christ. These spiritual sacrifices include a consecrated life, a broken and a contrite heart, praise and thanksgiving, a portion of our substance, and the insense of prayer. Moreover, we also come to receive faithful instructions and admonitions from God's Word through His appointed messengers.

Greetings from Omaha, Nebraska, USA. I am a brother in law to Ethel Beldad, who has been attending your church in recent weeks and have been praying fervantly for her to, not only continue attending, but for the Lord to open up the eyes of her understanding and allow his word to have dominance in her heart and life. I thank God for your church there!!!!!! and for her "being in the way" (Gen 24:27) Thank Christ Jesus for using you. |

Great site keep up the great work for the LORD My name is Bro Gary Hawkins out of Freedom Baptist Church were the good pastor is J.T.Byerly. We are working with KJBB 89.1FM Watertown, South Dakota and WGHW 88.1 Fm Bolivia, NC Both stations were are of like faith of pastor Bobby Roberson pastor Clarance Sexton pastor Jack Trieber,and we are looking for some good men of GOD to help us spread the gospel around the world to a lost and dying world so please pray about being on our radio stations this is to help strengthen churches help starting churches as the Lord permits we have broadcast from 5 minutes to a hour day There is 4 ways you can help - Air your message on both stations for a donation of $1.50 per/min.
- Sponsor a town that the radio could reach and support it monthly and pray for souls to be saved
- Sponsor a preach of the past to help keep preachers of old alive in our hearts
- A one time love offering to help buy some equipment and or up the wattage to reach many more souls.
Just think if you had no place to attend church where they believe the Book the blood and the blessed hope, wouldnt you want at least a gospel radio station to reach your area so you could hear the gospel and have the chance to be saved? Or if you were saved and could not attend church for health reasons or what ever the cause may be. Having a good Godly radio station to help grow in the Lord. You could with prayer and support help do this.These areas have no such thing, why should we start another church where there is one on every corner or a good christian station. So, please pray and help us get the gospel as far and as wide as we can. Bro. Gary Hawkins 336-624-6406 www.kjbbfm.com and www.hawkinsfamilyministry.com |

Is the Sovereign Grace Bible Church of Cebu a conservative Evangelical, Reformed and Baptist church? In using the words conservative Evangelical, Reformed and Baptist, I am referring to Baptist churches who affirm all the fundamentals of the Christian faith (including the inerrancy of the Bible), the doctrines of grace and the Baptist distinctives but do not subscribe to the anti-intellectualism, anti-culturalism, and extreme separatism that have characterized much of today's "fundamentalism." Conservative Evangelical, Reformed and Baptist churches would include those churches affiliated with the following organizations. Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America - http://65.71.233.194/arbca/Sovereign Grace Fellowship (Canada) - http://www.sgfcanada.com/ Fellowship of Reformed Baptist Churches in New Zealand - http://www.rbc.org.nz/ Reformed Baptist Association of Churches (Luzon, Philippines) - http://www.cubaorbc.org/
Thank you very much. |

Hello Brethren??? Greetings from Aklan Reformed Baptist Church, Cipriano Road, Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan. So YOU are the people of the Lord that my Mom and Papa George has been talking during one of our Family Reflections. Yes I must be thankful to the Lord for using you to preserve Mom's short work stint in Cebu. We in ARBC are also planning to design our Website too. God willing this 2009. We are just a small group of 28 members and after 14 years of pilgrimage that started from KSGC (now IRM oversee by Ptr Rodillas). last April 26, we were granted with two elders: Ptr Andy from Moonwalk and our very own my Ninong & Paul in my spritual life, Ptr. Nelmar. So this a news rather than a comment. At least if can have friends near your place I can recommend your Church. . . Our hugs and kisses in the Lord. I.S. |

To the elders of Sovereign Grace Bible Church Dear Brethren , Greetings in the Lord's Name, I am looking forward to attending the pastors' conference later in the year. I am also looking forward to visiting a number of centres during my visit I hope to visit Jepson in Davao , and also the work on Dinagat Island at Legaspi, Libjo and Tubajon. I am writing to request the elders to release Paul Cuevas to accompany me to Davao and the centres on Dinagat. I feel that it could be quite beneficial for him to accompany me. I look forward to hearing from you in this regard. Yours in Christ , Geoff Higgins Sec DCFC Philippines Ministries Cttee |
